Legal Question in Traffic Law in Minnesota
Error on Speeding Ticket
I received a speeding ticket on ticket date of offense officer wrote 3/12/03 & date was 3/12/04 one year later, he also wrote wrong year on court date but caught that & changed it as he gave it to me.
I was wonder if his error has any effect on it being valid, or if this will help get it dismissed.
thanks

Re: Error on Speeding Ticket
That kind of error would not make any difference.
An error in the required height of the speed limit sign might, however.
Go measure the sign upon which the speed limit sign is posted. If it's less than six feet from the bottom of the sign to the pavement, call me.
