Legal Question in Traffic Law in Minnesota
what is the fine for fleeing the scene of an accident
I was in a one car accident that didn't result in personal injury or property damage. Then I fled the scene before the cops showed up. What is the fine for that?

Re: what is the fine for fleeing the scene of an accident
I appears that you could be charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident. This is a misdemeanor offense that has a maximum punishment of 90 days in jail and a $1,000 fine. If convicted, you will lose your license to drive for 30 days and your insurance rates will likely increase.
I believe you may have a good defense most prosecutors and defense attorneys don't know about. Call me if you'd like to discuss this.
