Jail for no insurance??
In Jan of 2003, I was issued a citation for no insurance, expired out of state license plates, and not having a MN drivers license. I was found guilty, fined and sentenced to 30 days in county, which was suspended as long as I wasn't found in violation for 1 year.
This last Dec. 24th, I was issued another citation for no insurance. Thought I had insurance but the state patrol officer said that it was cancelled, which I didn't know. My vehicle was impounded, and I have to go to court on 1-26-04. Will I have to serve that 30 days? Will they send me to jail for no insurance??

With the 30 days over your head and a new offense, you are almost certain to draw some actual jail time. It does not have to be the whole 30 days, however. That's up to the judge. Could be more, could be lots less.
If I were you, I would not go anywhere near the courthouse without a lawyer.
