Legal Question in Traffic Law in Minnesota
Received a ticket for not wearing a seat belt. The officer wrote down a badge number but did not sign the ticket. According to rules of procedure, this is in invalid deposition and summons. What are the chances this will be dismissed because of improper procedure?

Signing a ticket is not a deposition although it may act as a Summons to court,. Nonetheless, the procedural irregularity would not prevent the charges from being amended or, if dismissed, they can simply be refiled.
