Tickets by mail?

I was ticketted for revoked lisence I did not know my license was revoked --- but the officier did

My car was towed, since I had no license. My carwas at the local garage. I was told I could retrive my car with a valid license and proof of insurance.

My husband has a valid lisense. We did not have insurance.

This happend on Christmas Eve Friday, by the way.

On Monday after Christmas I got insurance and my husband got the car. He made a call to the local authority and was told to go ahead abnd pick up the car.

Now Jan 13, 2005 I received a ticket in the mail for No Proof of insurance What is that??

My court date is 01-14-05 for driving after revocation

My court date for no insurance is the following Friday

Any adivce on this current ticket????????

Yes. Get a lawyer. You are charged with two misdemeanors. Each is punishable by $1000 and/or 90 days in jail - that's a possible total for you or $2000 and/or 180 days. Don't mess with it by yourself. Don't believe anything anyone tells you until you have your own lawyer standing next to you.
