Legal Question in Traffic Law in Minnesota
My wife was issued a ticked for improper use of a seat belt. The ticket was issued in my name. I was not in the car at that time. I contested to the hearing officer and the want to simple change the name on the ticket. Can they do that? Can I get this thrown out?

You question has been up here for awhile because it is a little too vague to answer. My guess is that the ticket was simply amended to note the proper person on the ticket, and this is allowed. You may have been able to handle the situation differently at the time of the hearing if you had had a lawyer.
