I was engaged and my fiancee committed suicide in February leaving me with a debt that was owed to me by him. I paid off several of his creditors in 2003/2004 and also borrowed him a substantial amount of money. I have filed a claim against his estate and now am being told I have no claim. I have canceled checks and electronic withdrawals that were charged to my accounts and also a signed IOU but this is an unsupervisored probate and am being slandered by the family and they are not in agreement to this claim. Also his credit was no good and I have copies of several summons that I did pay off these debts. I was living with this person for the past 5 years and was locked out of this home and they are still holding personal property that belongs to me.

There is a legal process for filing a claim against the estate. If it is denied, then there is a process for scheduling a hearing and asking a judge to decide if your claim is valid.
