inheritance and disability

my father is on disability and just received a large check from his inheritance. how can he cash it or gift it with out it effecting his disability?

This is a common problem. Whoever gave him the inheritance should have created a Special Needs Trust for your father instead of giving him a sack of cash.

There is a solution for him. See an attorney, such as myself who does special needs planning.
