Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Minnesota

I am newly divorced and re-writing my will. My X has a lien on my house, which is fully paid for. I live in Minnesota.

How do I stipulate that the lien ends upon his death?

Thank you.

If he has a marital lien against your property there is nothing you can put into your will to remove it. Upon his death, the lien and the underlying debt would become an asset of his estate. I find it hard to believe that he would stipulate that the lien would be removed upon his death without the debt being paid. Further, your will becomes active upon your death not his. It does matter what you put in your will regarding his lien.
