Does power of attorney need both signatures notarized? What if person is in hospital and can't sign her name?

Re: notary

The signature of the person who is granting the power has to be notarizied on the Minnesota standard form. If that person is unable to sign, that is a serious problem. You might not be able to get a power of attorney until that person improves.

I have made trips to hospitals to get these things signed in the past. If I am clear that the person knows what they are doing, almost any mark they can make will do.

Good luck.
