Becoming Personal Rep
My aunt - who passed away - has listed two people as executors of her estateso do we need to fill out two versions of documents for the court or will one suffice w/ both names?

Re: Becoming Personal Rep
Well, two people can act as personal representative jointly, but it's a pain in the backside - since then both of them have to sign everything together.
What you need to do is have one of the two sign a form called a "renunciation and nomination." This document says that I renouce my appointment as personal representative and I nominate this other person to do the job. Then the court will appoint just the remaining person - which is what I usually recommend.
This question is an example of the kinds of things that come up and why you need a lawyer to help you with them. Doing this on your own, you are bound to run into quite a bit more.
