power of attorney
my husband has his father's power of attorney and wants to transfer his wells fargo brokerage account to a transfer on death account. his broker says that he can't sign the form but that his father, who is in a nursing home, must sign it. Isn't this the exact type of situation that should allow him to sign the transfer form for him?

This is exactly what it is for. Did you deliver a copy to the agent for the bank? Wells Fargo sems to be holding up legal matters recently, judging by the amount of complaints here and that I have personally received from clients.

It depends on what the POA says his powers are, and if it was properly executed.
