A lawyer can help you with setting up a trust for your grandson. You can do this one of two ways. First, you can form a living trust right now, naming your grandson and anyone else that you chose as beneficiaries. If you chose to do it this way you would then put your assets in the name of the trust and they would pass without a probate process. The other way to do this is to write a provision within your will that would set up a trust for your grandson when you pass away. This would certainly work but your family would have to go through the probate process. Either way you should talk to an attorney about this.
