does state take estate is no will in MN
Does the state of MN have the right to take the property or financial assets if my parents have no will or will the property and assets automatically be given to their children?

Ordinarily things only wind up going to the state when there are no next of kin. If there are children, ordinarily they would receive the estate, after payment of taxes and other debts and claims.
That having been said, things tend to go much smoother, quicker and sometimes cheaper when there is a will. An estate will a will leaves a lot less to chance. So if your parents are still around, have them do wills.
