my wife hurt her back at work and was fired 3 weeks later

She may have claims of retaliation. Which provide for damages over and above her work comp benefits. She may also be entitiled to on going work comp benefits. I recommend that she contact an attorney. I would be happy to discuss her case over the phone or via e-mail.
