Re: lose of tip of finger
I don't want to sound harsh but in Minnesota Workers Compensation it depends on which finger and how much you lost. We have tables for that very issue. I have worked with two individuals over the years; one was a partial amputation of his index finger and the other lost his thumb. The benefit payable is call permanent partial disability and is percentage of disability usually paid in a lump sum or over a period of weeks/months.
In addition to the PPD, however, you may also be entitled to wage loss benefits. This benefit can sometimes be greater than the PPD.
I would be more than happy to explain this to you. Email me with you phone and/or email address and I can get some additional facts. My advice is free.
