Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Mississippi

Modification of Support Orders through Chap 13

1. Client got out of the military in '93 and up until know have never made more than 10K ann. His oder was established on imputed earnings. Arreages total 20k and oder is for 582 mnth.

Can the debt be discharged if the custodial parent is recieving assistance form social services.

2. Non custodial parent resides in NJ & custodial parent lives in MS. Case originated in N.Y. was uresaed to Ca. . Who has jurisdiction to enforce, modify, clarify order ?

Child support obligation is not dischargable in bankruptcy. It seems that this could be enforced either in NJ or MS, assuming MS is a URESA state. Good luck!
