Legal Question in Business Law in Mississippi
An individual purchases a custom golf cart upgrade at a Mississippi business for $2140. He takes delivery at his home in Louisiana. The following day, the individual goes to his bank and cancels his check, claiming there is a problem with the golf cart. Is this a crime? It this a federal crime? What recourse can the Mississippi golf cart company pursue?

There are certainly some aspects of fraud especially if he kept the cart. There could be civil and criminal penalties. I suggest speaking to your local DA's bad check unit about false pretenses
