Legal Question in Business Law in Mississippi
As a limo driver who is deemed as a independent contractor how do I protect my personal assets from lawsuits that could occur from my job. The limos and insurance are owned by the service and while they say I fall under their protection I'm sure I would also be subjected to a suit personally.
1 Answer from Attorneys
The best way to protect your personal assets from lawsuits is to carry sufficient insurance on yourself and your driving to cover claims that may arise from a lawsuit. For information on the best insurance package for you, you should speak with your insurance agent.
