ABSOLUTELY! UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR SON TO HAVE A PERMANENT CRIMINAL RECORD FOR ASSAULT AND PROBABLY INCUR SIGNIFICANT FINES, PROBATION FEES, COUNSELING TIME AND EXPENSE AND COURT COSTS I WOULD MOUNT AN AGGRESSIVE DEFENSE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. IT PROBABLY WILL BE IMPOSSIBLE FOR THE ALLEGED VICTIM TO IDENTIFY YOUR SON IN THE COURTROOM (AT LEAST - - - IF THE COURTROOM PROCEEDINGS ARE SET UP CORRECTLY SO THAT YOUR SON DOES NOT SIT AT THE DEFENSE TABLE AT THE OUTSET OF THE CASE) AND I WOULD SUGGEST CONTACTING COMPETENT CRIMINAL DEFENSE COUNSEL AT ONCE
