Legal Question in Criminal Law in Mississippi

Ok. Someone has been calling me from an restricted number asking me do I know this girl, I know this girl from college but I haven't talked to her in a year or so. The guy over the phone was telling me I have to go to court because she used me as a reference for her employer, I have NO IDEA what's really going on. THe guy told me sumone would be picking me up to go to court and I'm assuming "someone" is the police. I live 3 hours from the state he says I have to go to. Can anyone please let me know what's going on? And he told me I have to pay some money. I don't even know this girl like that and I have no way of getting in contact with her.

CALL YOUR LOCAL POLICE AT ONCE AND TELL THEM WHAT IS GOING ON! THEY CANNOT FORCE YOU TO TESTIFY OR TO PAY MONEY SIMPLY BASED UPON A CLAIM SOMEONE USED YOU AS A REFERENCE.
