Legal Question in Criminal Law in Mississippi

Is there any way possible to be charged for Petty Larcency that was filed in 2006, and just found out 8/17/2010 by paying for a background check for my job? What are the statue of limitations please?

The statute of limitations governs when charges may be filed. That happened four years ago. It's possible that the limitations period had already run by then, but that will depend upon when the crime was committed, not when you found out about the charges or even when you are (eventually) served with the papers.
