how can one provide proof that a statement was coerced and vice versa?

Re: coercion
Usually it is done by Affidavit. On occasion, if the statement was coerced by Police, there may be a videotape of the Statement being taken. Otherwise consult with counsel immediately to see what can be done with regard to a coerced statement.
