what is the definition of this beating and what are my rights

i was beaten by 4 young men , i was trying to pull a girl back before they hit her and they all jumped me at the same time. i had to go to the er for treatment and suffered serious pain for over a week, 2 or 3 of them were on probation at the time and we were at a night club

Contact the local district attorney's office and ask to speak to the victim's assistance contact. You may be entitled to compensation from the victim's assistance fund for your medical expenses if you act quickly enough. Also, see the Miss. Attorney General's information on the subject.
