if an officer presses domestic charges can he also drop those charges

ONLY IF THE JUDGE AND THE DEPARTMENT POLICY WILL ALLOW HIM TO DO SO AND EVEN THEN HE HAS TO HAVE THE CONSENT OF THE PROSECUTOR, WHICH IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE IF NOT IMPOSSIBLE TO OBTAIN.
