can i be charged with faults pretence for something when i was 17

Whether or not you can be charged with False Pretenses or not depends on the date of the action claimed to be false and your current age. There is a statute of limitations on this crime, but the applicability of that statute depends on whether or not there were a number of similar transactions which give rise to the charge (i.e., a series of similar false pretense actions over an extended period of time). If so the date of the latest action would control with the statute. There is a three (3) year statute of limitations. You did not state your current age, thus if there was one (1) transaction claimed to have been false and you are now twenty-two (22) years of age it is likely one charged would be able to have the case dismissed for lack of timely prosecution. One can always be "charged" with a crime. Being successfully convicted depends on the facts and the ability to obtain competent criminal defense counsel. There is a huge difference between being merely "charged" and "convicted" in a court of law.
