my granddaughter is going to court for disorderly conduct....failure to obey, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct...breach of peace how important is having a lawyer in court with us

It is very important. Without counsel the judge may very well put her in jail or otherwise impose a stringent sentence. The money invested on counsel will in most cases be well worth the cost as there will be lower fines and a reduced sentence in the majority of represented cases as compared to someone without competent representation.
