Legal Question in Criminal Law in Mississippi

Is it legal for a criminal to set up another by videoing him secretly in the middle of an illegal act to get himself out of trouble with the law? Is the video legal? Also if the video is discussed and revealed and the suspect is maligned out in public before the indictment is that a violation of privacy? Also if the suspects home is put in the newspaper is that a violation of privacy for his wife and children?

It is legal for someone to video someone else doing any act (so long as there is no "peeping tom' involved with sexual conduct as a subject of the video) and the video would be "legal" because the originator is not a member of law enforcement. There is no violation of privacy if the discussion of the video is regarding something shown on the video and is, therefore, "true" (as compared to making some false allegation of what the tape contains.) The home can be put in the paper if the home is the residence of the criminal
