Legal Question in Criminal Law in Mississippi
I live in Mississippi and received a felony in 2008 for residential burglary. I was drunk at the time and kicked in the door of a friend's house. She pressed charges, I plead guilty and was sentenced but never served any probation or jail time. It was my first offense. I later received a full, complete and unconditional pardon from the Governor. My background checks continue to show the felony despite the pardon. Can I apply for an expungement since I have a full pardon or are all felonies non-expungeable even with the pardon?

if you have been pardoned then there is no issue. Send a notice to the companies that are reporting you as a felon a notice to remove If they do not you have a right to sue...
