Legal Question in Criminal Law in Mississippi
Misdemeanor Embezzlement
Last January I was convicted of a misdemeanor embezzlement charge. I served eight months probation, paid a fine, and paid restitution. I was wondering how hard this would be to get expunged in Mississippi. What steps should I take?

CONSULT YOUR FAVORITE ATTORNEY AND HAVE HIM/HER FILE A PETITION WITH THE COURT TO EXPUNGE THE ENTIRE PROCEDURE. IT CAN BE DONE. EXPECT TO PAY ANYWHERE BETWEEN $1800 TO $4500 IN FEES PLUS ABOUT $125 IN COURT COSTS FOR THIS SERVICE. EXPECT IT TO REQUIRE ABOUT A MONTH TO SIX WEEKS TIME TO COMPLETE.
