Legal Question in Criminal Law in Mississippi
my mother lives in a very small town with her husband. a place where everyone knows everyone.my mom's husband beat her up really bad a few nights ago. On the night it happened she went to the local police station and signed papers of her beating. The next day her husband persuaded her to drop charges because he was applying for a job with the sheriff's department. Shouldn't he have been arrested the night of the assault?
