Legal Question in Criminal Law in Mississippi
Can a non-lawyer (paralegal) assist an attorney if the attorney is disabled (had a series of strokes); and are there ethical rules invovled?

The paralegal can assist but cannot provide direct advice to the client and cannot participate in an active role in the courtroom regardless of the situation with the Attorney. The Attorney is the only person who can provide opinion advice to the client and the only one who can actively represent the client before the Judge.
