Possession

Me and my friend were pulled over for no reason. He consented to a search they found a pipe with resin in it in the center consol. It was his car and he was driving but they charged me with possession of the pipe. Can they do that?

Yes and they frequently do that. However, they cannot convict a person unless they can show that the defendant exercised dominion and control over the contraband. Therefore, if you can show you did not even know it was there you should be acquitted.

Get a good attorney to assist you or you probably will be convicted.
