Sentenced

My son was sentenced to 22 yrs with 5yrs Probation. for armed robery. Will he ever be elgible for paroll? if so after how many years of time served.

THIS IS A VIOLENT CRIME ACCORDING TO MISSISSIPPI STANDARDS. HE WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR PAROLE WHEN HE SERVES 85% OF THE SENTENCE. IN OTHER WORDS HE WILL BE REQUIRED TO SERVE NOT LESS THAN EIGHTEEN (18) YEARS AND EIGHT (8) MONTHS BEFORE HE IS ELIGIBLE FOR EARLY RELEASE UNDER CURRENT LAW.
