Legal Question in Criminal Law in Mississippi

sharing medicine

my sister's housekeeper has chronic pain from a car acciden. My sister felt bad for her and told her that she was welcome to have some old pain medication (tylenol 3 and loricet) that she has in the house for back pain. My sister is very leary of pain meds so when the doctor perscribes them she fills the perscription but then doesn't use them and usually throws the medication away. The housekeeper was pulled over and arrested for wreckless driving and the police found the meds in her car that have my sister's name on them. Is my sister going to be in trouble? She realizes what a stupid thing she did but she had no idea that her preacher's wife housekeeper had a problem with perscription drug use. My sister is a mother of two who has never even had a speeding ticket. Thanks for your help.

Re: sharing medicine

Your sister could be in significant trouble. If she the police want to question her she should have an attorney present. She should not talk to the police with out speaking to an attorney first.
