Legal Question in Criminal Law in Mississippi

shoplifting

I was arrested and charge with shoplifting. I was caught taking a six pack of beer from a grocery under my shirt.

The manager tackled me outside the store and threw me to the ground . I sustauned personal injury from the incident.

I am not really interested in getting damages against the store unless applicable. What i need is some information as to how to proceed from this point. I have no past record I'd just like to not have this on my record. I am an alocholic and am attemptinng to enter treatment. Will this be a help to my case? Thank you for your time.

Re: shoplifting

You should make significant progress in treatment before your court date for your proposal to be of any value. Also, you should admit guilt, and make a deal with the prosecutor for probation.
