Legal Question in Criminal Law in Mississippi

my son was arrested for shoplifting when i spoke with the lp of store she said he had no product on him when searched but still made arrested for less than 10 dollars item can i fight this charge or just plead guilty it is his first offense

FIGHT IT !!! THEY HAVE TO PROVE HE CONCEALED MERCHANDISE AND INTENDED NOT TO PAY FOR IT AND LEAVE. THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE IF HE DID NOT EVEN HAVE ANYTHING WITH HIM.
