Legal Question in Criminal Law in Mississippi
states evidence
my son and i were stopped by a law officer. we were in his vehicle. They searched the vehicle and found items that are used to make meth. We were taken to jail. My lawyer tells me to turn states evidence on him and i would be clear. I did this and now i find out that they are trying to sentence my son to 5 yrs. in prison. I want to change my mind now. I don't want to see him in prison for 5 years. What should I do?

Re: states evidence
Tell the truth. If you son goes to trial or pleads, you will have a chance, as his mother, to address the judge and ask him for mercy.
