I don't really understand the question, but if it is whether or not a person can be convicted on "no real evidence other than word of mouth" the answer is a resounding "YES!" and in fact most rape cases were that way until the advent of DNA testing a few years ago. Rest assured a woman's testimony (and nothing more) has been the basis of many a man serving time in prison. A competent lawyer can assist such a defendant from spending time in prison, but competent lawyers cost money!
