Legal Question in Criminal Law in Mississippi
wrongful sentence of 20 years to a minor for probation violation
A 17 year old minor was sentenced to 20 years for violation of probation (positive urinalysis for cocaine). He has been in custody of MDOC since 1996. Under the 85% law, he is not eligible for parole. How can my brother be released before 2016? I see so many crimes being commited (murder, rape, kidnappings) and they receive less than what he did. Please help me. No one wants to take the case because of its age.
Please accept my question and help save a life.
Thank you.

I recommend that you contact the governor and petition for a pardon.
