my 11 year old son came to visit me from mississippi. I'm in texas. no court order . I was never married to the mother. I told the mother that I'm going to keep him. is there anything she can do besides get custody established?

Yes, if you are not adjudicated as the father you could be facing kidnapping charges if she really pushes it. You need to get custody established immediately
