Legal Question in Family Law in Mississippi
How accountable is an eight year old's report that one parent is doing something that is against court order? Is this called second hand information or will a judge acknowledge it?

This simply depends on what it is and the Judge's perception that he or she can believe the child and that the child is aware of the difference between truth and a false statement. Further, you need to realize younger children regularly testify to convict those accused of improper sexual contact and many many people are serving time for younger testimony of children much younger than eight years of age at this time.
