Legal Question in Family Law in Mississippi

Alienation of affection

My husband was lured away from our 31 year marriage very systematically by his 1st cousin. We are now divorced...not my choice. I live in the State of Ohio. The cousin resides in the State of Mississippi where my husband currently resides with her. Can I sue the 1st cousin for alienation of affection? Would I have to sue her in the state of Mississippi or the state of Ohio? I'm not sure Ohio has this option, but I know Mississippi does. I just feel she should pay a consequence for her actions. We had a strong marriage until she started inticing and tempting. I know my husband was also wrong, but he is human and could only resist so long. She is a very persuasive person and never gave up. I feel she did this for her own personal ego. She was feeling unattractive and I think she saw my husband, who is very nice looking, as a challenge to her ego.

Re: Alienation of affection

The tort of alienation of affections was abolished in the State of Ohio approximately 15 to 20 years ago. Many attornies have attempted to bring it back through other means and have failed. The Supreme Court for Ohio has said that this cause of action is essentially dead.
