Legal Question in Family Law in Mississippi

Birth Certificate

I truly need some help. The man that is named as the father of my daughter on her birth certificate is not her biological father, this has been proven by a DNA test. Her biological father, whom is now my husband needs to be the named father on her birth certificate and her last name needs to be changed. I need to find out how to accomplish this. My husband is willing to formerly adopt her just to have the changes made. She was born in Gulport, Harrison County, Mississippi and we are residents of Frisco, Collin County, Texas. Any guidance is truly appreciated. Thank you, Sara

Re: Birth Certificate

You will need to have an adoption and termination of parternity. The appropriate place for the action will be in the county in which you reside.
