Legal Question in Family Law in Mississippi
child custody
My husband was awarded temporary custody of his 2 kids when their mother was deemed unfit by the state, this was a year and a half ago. they keep continuing our case and will not finalize anything. we live in florida with the kids but the case is in mississippi. we have complied with everything they have asked of us. the mother has not , she has made no attempt to contact them at all and continues to fail all her drug tests. is there anything we can do to end all this. we want the custody to be permanent and she has no objections to that. we dont understand why the courts are dragging their feet on this matter.

Re: child custody
With the consent of the mother, you can get an attorney and move the custody matter to florida and go into Circuit court to change it.
