child rights

Does a minor child have the right beore age 18 to decided which parent they want to live with if the parents are not together?I yes ,to this question what at what age may they decide this.Thank you for your time hope you can help.

Practically speaking, if there is no persuasive evidence that the desired home will be harmful to the child, the chancellor will allow the change.

At age 12 or 14 (I can't remember which), the child has a right to tell the judge their preference and the judge must take that into consideration. However, the child's preference is not binding on the court and the judge is still charged with doing what they believe is in the child's best interests.
