Child Support

I am the divorced mother of 3 children 14 and under. I have court ordered papers stating their father pay $1800.00 per month child support each month...I live in Mississippi. He lives in Utah. He stopped paying abruptly in July without notification. I have a private attorney, but it's been months and I have received no money and my children and I are suffering greatly. Do we have any other options, or does this man just get to put off his contempt hearing incessantly??/

Re: Child Support

Failure to pay child support for children under 18 is a felony - one count per child. Contact your local law enforcement agency and cite to them Section 97-5-3. Also contact the Child Support Unit at your county's Dept of Human Services.
