Is there a document that will dissolve a child custody agreement?

My son is now 19. Our custody agreement goes to age 21, as long as he is in college. However, his father is disabled and we unofficially stopped child support at 18...even though our son is in college. I don't need the money from the father and since he is on disability, I don't want it. Is there a document I could file that would dissolve the child custody agreement? Our son has a full 4 year scholarship that more than covers his costs. I don't need or want the money and I don't want the father to worry about this being held over his head.

I must say that I�m very impressed with your concern for the financial hardship on your former spouse. Certainly you could file a joint motion to stop the child support obligation and I�m sure the Judge would sign it without question. Normally, I tell people to never make changes to the child custody order/agreement, without having it ratified by the Court; however, I feel this may not be necessary in this case. It sounds like he has been paying child support to you directly, so DHS is not involved, therefore, you are the only one that could cause him problems with this. I would suggest you just write him a letter, stating that you no longer want/need the child support.
