Re: Family law court misconduct

To terminate a case requires permission of the court. It can be accomplished by an agreed order dismissing the petition without prejudice drafted and signed by the parties and then presented to the court for approval, or by filing a motion to dismiss without prejudice and then arranging for a hearing on the motion. However, the court will not approve a motion for the purposes of what is known as judge and forum shopping.
