house note

My ex-wife is selling her trailer. The trailer has both of our names on it but she is responsible for the trailer note according to my divorce decree. What will happen to me and my credit if she can't sell the trailer?

Your divorce judgment doesn't wipe out any responsibility you have to one of your creditors. If she doesn't pay the note, you can ask the court to hold her in contempt or award you a judgment against her for your damages because she did not pay the note. Your damages will include the amount the creditor gets from you and the value of your lost credit reputation.
